NIRF Overall Ranking List 2023: This year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is the best educational institute overall, followed by IISc Bangalore and IIT-Delhi.
The Ministry of Education recently announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) overall ranking list for 2023. Under the overall category, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is the best educational institute. The institute maintains its overall position for the fifth consecutive year (2019 to 2023) and its engineering position for the eighth consecutive year (2016 to 2023).
IISc Bangalore is second, followed by IIT-Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Kanpur, in that order.
"The Education Ministry established the Dr Radhakrishnan committee to investigate assessment accreditation parameters." Data for all educational institutions would be available at the touch of a button. "One nation, one data is in the works," says Anil Sahasrabuddhe.
"NIRF began with four categories. The goal was to increase the quality of higher education while also assisting students in making decisions. "With the eighth edition, we now have 12 categories, including 8 subject-specific rankings," said Anil Kumar Nassa, member secretary of NBA (which prepares NIRF), at a press conference marking the release of NIRF rankings this morning.
Agriculture and Allied Sectors is a new discipline added to the NIRF this year. Architecture has sometimes been titled Architecture and Planning.
There were only four categories last year: Overall, Colleges, Universities, and Research Institutions, as well as seven topic domains: Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medical, Architecture, and Dental.
IISc Bangalore scored top among all institutions in the research and universities category in the NIRF 2022 rankings, and second overall. IIT Madras won first place in the overall rating category.
