The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K) has announced a special scholarship for the top 100 all-India JEE Advanced 2023 rank-holders. During their time at IIT Kanpur, the scholarships will cover all of their expenses, including tuition and living expenses.
The scholarships would be given to selected students who were accepted into BTech/BS programmes in the 2023-24 academic year. According to a release from IIT-Kanpur, each of the qualified students will be granted an annual scholarship of Rs 3 lakh to cover their expenses during the UG programme.
If the selected students maintain a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 8.0, they will receive scholarships for all four years of the UG programme.
According to the statement, an undergraduate student at IITK spends approximately Rs 12 lakh over their four-year BTech/BS programme. The institute says that these scholarships will cover all aspect of a student's educational journey, including tuition, housing, transportation, books, and health insurance.
