IIMA has made significant advancements this year, climbing two places in the Open Enrolment Programmes category and five places in the Custom Programmes rankings. In the combined category rankings, IIMA ascended four places, firmly establishing itself at the 35th position worldwide.

In a statement, Professor Bharat Bhasker, Director of IIMA, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "Professionals and industry leaders consistently praise IIMA's executive education programs, and it is gratifying to witness this recognition reflected in the FT rankings. Furthermore, we have continuously improved our performance over the years. Our close ties and deep understanding of the industry uniquely position us to serve as a knowledge partner through our executive education programs."

IIMA's executive education programs have excelled in various parameters, including international participants, global locations, faculty expertise, program design, teaching methodologies, goal achievement, value for money, and future applicability, among others.

Offering a diverse portfolio of over 200 carefully curated programs in both open enrolment and customized formats, IIMA's executive education programs cater to a wide range of audiences, including business leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals.

These programs are delivered through various formats, such as in-person, online, and blended learning. Over the past 59 years, IIMA has successfully offered executive education programs in both open and custom categories.

The programs are meticulously designed, incorporating a balanced mix of real-life case studies, engaging discussions, expert lectures, interactive quizzes, and thought-provoking assignments. Classroom interventions are strategically implemented throughout the courses to enhance the participants' learning experiences. The pedagogy adopted in these programs remains highly interactive and engaging.

IIM Ahmedabad introduced its executive education programs in January 1964, pioneering the Three-Tiered Programme for Management Development (later known as the 3TP). This unique approach involved different levels of a firm's managerial cadre attending the program in separate batches and for varying durations. Even today, these programs continue to be highly sought-after.

Initially conducted in locations like Jaipur and Agra, the programs were primarily held outside IIMA until the establishment of the Management Development Centre in 1979. Subsequently, the institute introduced other Management Development Programs (MDPs) covering diverse topics, including agriculture, small and medium enterprises, industrial relations, computer applications, and women managers, among others.
